Some images from Queensland of the last big cyclone, Cyclone Larry, of the same strength as this one coming.
Those are chairs stuck in a school wall.
The wall in the eye of Cyclone Larry.
We in Perth just had our cyclone, Cyclone Bianca a few days ago, but we were lucky and most of the storm went to the south coast.
Northern suburbs of Perth did get a few storms.
Towns inland of Perth, such as York, had some massive wild storms.
Good luck to the people of Queensland and stay safe.

Nasty scenes.
Japan gets its fair share of powerful typhoons but they usually fizzle out by the time they reach Hokkaido. Not so 6 years ago though, one travelled unusually far north and knocked out all the power in town for half a day and blew down countless trees, there were several deaths too.
