And the bush has friends to meet him, and their kindly voices greet him, In the murmur of the breezes and the river on its bars,
And he sees the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended, And at night the wonderous glory of the everlasting stars.

Bornean Angle-headed Lizard

When we were in Danum Valley in Sabah last Christmas, during one of our walks along the river we spotted this beautiful Bornean Angle-headed Lizard (Gonocephalus bornensis). Even though it was a wild animal, after the video it allowed me to walk right up to it and pick it up and have a good look! No biting, clawing or fighting. We just looked at each other, then I put her (?) back on the tree and we left. One of those magic wildlife moments!

Kelantanese call them 'Pok Ko'. You've captured her beautifully. I love the eyes.
Well done.

Nice capture. What is a surprise for me - the lizard didn't catch that annoying mosquito.

Thanks guys. Good video is often very hard work, but sometimes you get special moments, like the lizard.
